I have installed lookout 6.2 onto XP service pack 2 PC,

the PC is not connected to a network

 

I can start the NIopc server and add or remove tags without a problem 

 

When I run the quick client I get  the square for the server and it goes green

the message box below says that it has connected to the server but no tags are displayed

 

from lookout I can connect to the server but it only shows the server but I cannot open it to show any tags

After you connect to the server and got the green square, you need to create group and then items. Take a look at the help of Quick Client.

yes I tried that but still the same problem

this has only the one green square

every thing I tried hasn't worked 

 

I installed it onto one of the standard work laptops and it worked ok

all the submenus appeared

I could add tags without a problem and see hem in the quick client

quick client would automatically create any new tags  

and lookout connected without a problem

Could you give a screenshot of the quick client?

 

What happen if you add a group and then a tag?

I see the channel connected to server, but I don't see the group and tags. To add the group, select the channel, and Edit->New Group, or click the button on toolbar. And then select the new group, and Edit->New Item to add items.

 

Did you add the group and tags? What happened when you add the group and tags?
