registry/memory "maintenance" software

I have a client who insists on running a system maintenance program called "System Mechanics" on the system where I have an application that I wrote for him installed. It cleans registries, memory, disk space, etc. My trips and crashes have become much more frequent since he started doing this. I insist he shouldn't be running 3rd-party "maintenance" programs on his machine, but he keeps doing so because he runs it on all his other machines and has "had no problems before". (but others he works with disagree) So what's the deal with these programs and their compatibility with LV applications? Should I tell him cease and desist?

First of all, without knowing exactly what this "System Mechanics" program does, it is difficult to tell how it could be affecting your application.  Is your client running this program while your application is running?  Secondly, what particular trips and crashes are you referring to?  If you have error codes or messages, we can try to figure out why these errors are occuring.
