spreadsheet row limit

I am using Lookout to read current from an IO module and dumping data every 10 seconds to an excel spreadsheet. I was curious to know what is going to happen when the rows gets to 65k and data still continues writing?

I have not tried that. But I guess the new data won't be written to the spreadsheet if it has 65k rows. It's the limit in spreadsheet, so the spreadsheet won't allow new row, and then the object in Lookout will generate alarms.

thx for response. I may have found a solution, I read on google search that Excel 2007 supports 1meg of rows.

But the problem is that Lookout doesn't support Excel 2007. I'm not sure which file format support 1meg in Excel 2007, but the worksheet format Lookout uses is unavailable in Excel 2007 any more.
