199 blocks per superblock limitation

Is there a way to override the 199 blocks per superblock limitation? My model requires that I add more that 200 blocks.

Yes, there is a way.

You can take a portion of the model in your present SuperBlock and turn that portion into a SuperBlock. You can do this multiple times and even create layers of SuperBlocks. This sort of modularization will allow your model to have an unlimited number of blocks. There are people using MATRIXx whose models have literally thousands of blocks organized in a hierarchy of SuperBlocks.

To turn a portion of the model and turn it into a SuperBlock, you can simply click and drag around a group of blocks and then select Edit>>Make SuperBlock. The newly created SuperBlock inherits the timing information from the current, or “larger”, SuperBlock. That is, creating these SuperBlocks inside of your original SuperBlock will not affect your results.

You can find more on these topics in the MATRIXx SystemBuild User Guide. The second section of Chapter 4 includes a section on creating a SuperBlock from existing blocks, and Chapter 6 discusses SuperBlock Timing. You can get to this User Guide by selecting Help>>Search the MATRIXx Bookshelf from Xmath. There is a link to the SystemBuild User Guide at the bottom of the first page of the PDF that opens.

Regards,

Eric
