interactive animation

I am looking for documentation on the coding language for making custom Interactive Animation icons.  The IA documentation from NI has been helpful in getting me to the point where I can compile custom icons and merge them with the IA palette but it doesn't seem to include information on how to code them.

Hi ts1,

How's it going? MATRIXx licenses include a license for Altia Design tools, which provide a much easier to use interactive way of creating graphics and defining animations for them. The documentation for these is found on page two of the Bookshelf index.

Happy animating,

We have a similar question, we're using Matrixx version 5.0 and I'm not sure if Altia design tools is compatible or available with this version.  Is there a reference manual anywhere for how to write the interactive animation *.src files?

When I click on the help in XMath, I don't see the option to search the MatrixX bookshelf.  This may be an option that we don't have installed.

Hi Again,

Yes that option is not present back in 5.x, as I see. Also, Altia design tools were not available in MATRIXx at the time. These features were probably added for 6.x+ I think to take advantage of multiple updates and fixes and also have these tools available it is worthwhile to consider an upgrade.

You can find the number here http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/nicc.call_me?p_lang_id=US to call sales if you are interested in an upgrade.

Have a good weekend.
