1409 Card Issue

I am having problems with a 1409 IMAQ card that has stopped working. I have

confirmed that card is the problem by replacing it with another one.

The 1409 card is visible in measurement explorer and so are all the

channels however when I try to grab images i get the message "Can't lock on

video source".

The camera I'm connectin to also works with the other card.

Hi Daltech

If you have checked 2 of the same cards with exactly the same settings in max then the only thing I can say is ring your local NI office and request an RMA (our return proses)

Just one thing

If you using a JAI CV-M50 in field mode (dip switch 6 on) and the 1409 in field mode then there might be a problem if you have removed the video source and then tried to reconnect. If you have when you reconnect it it should repair itself but might be out of sink. However, if the grab is stopped, and then you try to grab or snap again, you get an error "Can't lock onto video source" and the camera must be power cycled before you can lock on again.
