14bit image saving using my GT 4905 camera

Thank you for your time.

I'm using a GT 4905 camera from Allied Vision Technologies which is 14 bit. I am trying to grab images & save them in Mono14 format. But I'm able to either save in 8bit or 16bit format, but not 14bit.

I checked in MAX, and the image type is Auto.

14 bits is just the bit depth of the camera.  It is still stored as a 16 bit image with zeroes for the last two bits.  This is how it is stored in memory, and this is how it will be stored in any file.
