Hi test_man,

Thank you for posting on the National Instruments discussion forums.

If this error is occurring when you connect the camera for the first time and do not change any attributes, I would suggest that you upgrade the camera's firmware.  You should be able to find instructions on doing this by taking a look at their website or contacting their support department.

Once you upgrade the camera's firmware, you may also need to delete the camera file generated by the camera before connecting it again.  The camera file will be located in the Program Files -> National Instruments -> NI-IMAQdx -> Data folder of your IMAQdx installation.  This will allow the camera to generate a new camera file when it is connected again.

I hope this helps.  Please reply if you do this and you still receive this error message.  Thanks.

I am having the same problem. I am using a Prosilica GC2450. I upgraded to the newest camera firmware. Same problem. I unistalled and reinstalled ALL the labview software and the camera driver and software. Same problem. There is no such data folder in my installed folders as you have mentioned. The Prosilca viewer software works flawlessly.

Try prosilica's 1.26 driver. That seems to work.
Thanks.

I'm stuck. The Prosilica GC2450 I have is a brand new model. The only firmware for the camera is v1.30. I cannot roll back to an earlier firmware like v1.26 because the camera was not manufactured at that time and is not supported by that firmware version. Any more hints/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Good news. I fixed it. Although I had "allowed" every program on my computer to bypass Bill Gates's firewall, something was still being blocked and not acknowledged. I disabled the firewall completely and everything works fine now. If you are using Prosilca GC2450 GigE camera with NI Vision Builder 3.5 or Measure & Automation 4.3 and Windows XP Pro SP2 you must turn off the firewall located in the control panel. The Prosilca GigE filter software lets their own software tunnel through the firewall, but this tunnel driver is not used by NI.

Dear all, i have the same problem:

0xBFF69012
Attribute value is out of range.

when i use Prosilica's camera + VBAI 3.6 with NIC card: Realtek RTL8168C (GigE), this error occur.

But when i use  Prosilica's camera + VBAI 3.6 with NIC card: D-Link DGE-530, everything is well.

Technically, the features of 2 NIC card Realtek and D-Link are the same.

So, could you help me to make VBAI + Prosilica's camera work with Realtek RTL8168C card?

Thank you very much and Happy new year!

Are you still having problems? It has been a while since I worked with our setup. I do remember that not all Gigabit ethernet cards are built equal. I first tried a Broadcom Gigabit card and could only get it to work sporadically. I switched to an Intel Gigabit card and never had anymore problems. I think it would be a better idea just to purchase another D-Link card than spend more time troubleshooting the Realtek card. Did you get it working? You Might try asking Prosilica, they helped me out once or twice by email.

I agree. I recommend Inter Pro 1000 GT series.
Thanks.

Hi All,

I agree with the last two posts.  It seems like something strange on the Realtek card.  Could just be a bad card or something not working just right.
