Camera File Generator

I'm using Camera File Generator to create an ICD file for my Nytech interlaced camera, using IMAQ 1422 RS422 Frame Grabber. How do I set Interlace parameter to YES ? I tried to acquire an image of 640x480 but I got an image of 640x240. Could anyone with Camera File Generator experience, please help. Thanks

Hi nimaq,

The 640x240 image is what happens when an interlaced source is interpreted as progressive.  When you create a new .icd file and choose you initial camera settings, make sure to select "Area Scan" as the Scan Type.  When you return to the main window, select the Acquisition tab.  Under "Tap Configuration", select "2 Tap Interlaced Horizontally" for the Orientation setting.  This is how you select horizontal interlacing.

Good Luck,

Thanks for your help. I cannot select  "2 Tap Interlaced Horizontally" for the Orientation setting, may be because the Camera File Generator tool knows that this camera is 1-tap interlaced-camera and it does'nt support interlaced ?

If your camera is interlaced, then it must use at least two taps, one tap for each field.  Make sure that the Scan Type for the Camera Setting is set to Area Scan instead of Line Scan.  The 2 Tap Interlaced Horizontally option is not available if Line Scan is selected.  Also make sure you have the latest version of the Camera File Generator, which is version 1.1.
