Capturing a frame from 16 cameras simultaneously

I have a passive backplane system with 16 pci-1411 cards installed, each connected to a camera (camcorder). I need to snap one frame (full res rgb32) from each camera at the exact same frame from all cameras. What is the best way to do this? If I do an asynchronous grab through code, I'm off 1 frame about every four cameras. I've experimented with triggering, but the synchronous nature of the way imaq behaves for triggering only allows me to do one card at a time.
I am using imaqvision 6.0 in VB.
Thanks

Dave,
Asynchronous Triggering is the best way to acquire images from multiple cameras on multiple framegrabbers. The behavior you are seeing may be inherent to the large number of cameras connected, and the limitations of the pci setup. When you are missing frames every four cameras, is it every forth card, trigger connection, or is there any pattern? If you can give us more information or call in, we may be able to help more.

Thanks,
