Create an Exe file for RUN INSPECTION in VBAI

Solved!
Go to solution

Good day again NI Experts,

I would like to ask for a solution regarding a small problem of mine in VBAI. By default, after saving a VBAI project, an EXE file will be created for that project. When we re-open the EXE file, we will be headed straight to the "Configure Inspection" mode of that program. What I need now is to create an EXE file for the "Run Inspection" mode of that program so that when our client opens the application, he/she will be able to run the inspection immediately. Off course we wouldn't want our client to have an access to the program configuration. Please also note that we don't have a runtime software if there is any for VBAI. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Andrei K.

I'm not sure what you define about EXE files created in VBAI. Are you talking about a .VBAI file ?

If you want VBAI to automatically run in inspection mode you should go to the configuration Interface, then select the Tools/Options menu.

In the startup section, check "Start Inspection When Launched" and select which VBAI inspection is to be run at startup.

After doing that, restarting VBAI will set it automatically in "Run inspection Mode".

Hope this helps,
