I'm reading sequences of frames from a Dalsa CA-D1-0128A with NI 1422 frame grabber. No matter what frame rate I set, every other frame is at maximum (i.e., 838 fps) frame rate. I've tried different CA-D1's, so it's not a problem with the particular camera.
Has anyone seen this before? Is it some problem with the camera file?
Thanks.

Hi Burque
Are you using the camera file from our website? I see on the site that it can only run up to 736Hz. What are you using to gather information regarding the frame rate?

Hi, Eric.
The camera file did come from the NI site. The User's Manual gives a maximum frame rate of 838 fps for the 128X128 sensor. (At the moment, I'm trying to run at only 10 Hz.)
Thanks for your interest.

Hi Ken
Are you seeing this framerate jump in Measurement and Automation Explorer, LabVIEW or other software? What are you using to acquire your images from the frame grabber?

Hi, Eric.
I hope you had a pleasant holiday/long weekend.
A LabVIEW vi (attached) collects the frames. I certainly have not discounted the possibility that it is responsible for this problem.
Thanks again.

Hi Ken
I don't see anything in your code that leads me to believe that this would be the culprit for why you may see a frame jump in between frames. Is this issue specific to the sequence VI? Try using a basic HL Grab example under the NI Example Finder>> Hardware Input and Output >> IMAQ >> High-Level>> HL Grab.vi. This should indicate your frames per second on the front panel.
