When I use my Excel to open *.txt file, it asks me how I want to format them. If I choose to use tab delimited formatting, a VBAI data log file looks well formatted in Excel. If this doesn't work, maybe you could send a sample *.txt file from VBAI so I can see if it is different than what I am looking at. Here's my sample *.txt file from VBAI, and the resulting .xls file that Excel created when I opened the .txt file.
