Disappearing AVI compression filters

The IMAQ AVI Get Filter Names.vi returns the names of available avi compression filters on a computer.

I am facing the following weird problem under W XP, LV 8.5.1, Vision 8.5.1:

- the first time I run this Vi, I get a dozen filters.

- the next time I do so, I get only 3.  Luckily,the number does not decrease any further. The problem is, the remaining filters are not those I am interested in.

Just wondering whether anybody had ever encountered this annoying feature and how to work around it.

Have you reproduced this several times? When you say 'first time' are you talking about first time after LabVIEW opens? Out of the original 12, which 3 are showing up the second time? Are they the last three every time, or three random ones?Are they the same three or different every time? How are you displaying the array - with a scroll bar, an index display, or neither? Do you have any property nodes for the display in your code?
