Error -1074397145 occured at IMAQ Init.vi

Hi,

I am working in Labview Machine Vision with the smart camara NI-1742. I am able to grab or snab the images from smart camara in the MAX. But when i am running simple VI to grab the image i am getting this error.

Error -1074397145 occured at IMAQ Init.vi

Possible reasons(s):

NI-IMAQ: No interface found.

i have attached my screen shots also.

The Smart Camera is a LabVIEW RT system not simply a camera. You must run the VI on the camera itself to acquire images. Your screenshots show that you are running the VI on your local system instead, which is why it cannot find an IMAQ device.

You need to add the Smart Camera into your LabVIEW project and then move the VI you want to run under it. Then when you run it it will be running on the smart camera itself.

but when i try to add targets and devices in the project explorer(Right clik project name-->new-->targets and devices) its giving no devices found.ie i am not able to add the smart camara in my project.

please go through my slides and give me the solution.

Hi Selva,

Could you attach a screen shot of MAX showing your SMART camera with the software item expanded. For you to be able to find the device in Project Explorer, the necessary software should be installed not only in your system but also in the SMART camera because it works as a remote RT system.

Please check up on this and do attach the screen shot,

I have same the problem with the NI 1742 Smart Camera,

I can't add it to "Tarjets and Interfaces", i send you a screen shot of MAX with the software item expanded.

Do I need any extra software to add the Smart Camera as a tarjet/device? 

PD. How can I attach a word file? I can't see any icon for attach format files different of images formats.

Hi again, when I try to add the NI 1742 Smart Camera as a "Target or Device" in Project Explorer, there's only NO FOUND ITEM in the "Targets and Devices" windows. If I specify a target or device by IP address nothing happens (Button OK is disabled). I send you other image.

And here is the windows of the NO ITEMS FOUND (If you can see there's no types of targets and devices related with Vision):
