Firewire software triggering

I'm currently running a Basler scout firewire camera using MAX v4.3.0f0. MAX does not recognise the Basler driver and i installed the NI-IMAQdx IIDC driver. However, this driver does not allow me to do a software triggering for the camera. Under aquisition attributes, only mode 0 and 1 is available. Anyone has any suggestions? The camera is able to do software triggering; seen in the Pylon provided by Basler.

Hello Steve,

First of all, MAX will not detect the Basler driver - it will only work with the NI-IMAQdx driver or the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 legacy driver for use with firewire cameras. We would recommend uninstalling any other driver that interfaces with the camera in order to prevent any driver conflicts.

I am a bit unsure as to what you meant by 'software triggering' in this case. It would be great if you could elaborate on that. How do you want the camera to be triggered in software?

Hello Vivek,

Sorry for the slow reply, was away. Basler cameras are capable of being software triggering which is like an internal trigger, except, we can control this trigger. Anyway, i have manage to solve this problem. It seems that Basler changed some driver and NI is not supporting this feature. Thanks
