What exactly is the problem? ie. what do you want to do with it?

A chest x-ray image is theoretically no different to any other camera image (in the fact that it will still have noise, focussing, etc).

actually my finl year project is chest x-ray image processing using labview, and to be honest i do not  how to do it, because i still new in this field

What do you actually want to DO to the image though?

You need to work out what you want to do, before you can work out how to do it.

actually this is the tittle for my project (Development of an X-ray image diagnostic based on LabVIEW) so i need to go through severl steps to do image processing for the x-ray imgae to determine the lung cancer,  so that i can analysis itand determine places of the diseases.

Before you can program it, you need to know what the lung cancer features are. For example, if a doctor were looking at an x-ray themself, how would they say which areas were cancerous? Once you know what image features cancerous images have you can work on an algorithm to detect them.
