How can i get the sharper edge of an object?

Hello.........

I am trying to get the co-ordinates of edge i have used "Imaq image to array" vi which gives me each pixel value.

But at the portion where edge has been detected it covers 4 to 5 pixel lenght but i require only single value of that edge

So can you help me to get average pixel value or How to get sharper edge?

Also i have used " imaq filter vi" but it doesn't work.

If you want to get sharper edges the following techniques will help you..

1.Set your camera focus properly.

2.Use Proper Lightings.

3.set your background color differently with object color.

4.Apply filters functions. (Highlight detials will also give you sharper edges).

Post your image so will help you better processing functions.
