How to check if the camera is saturated?

Using LabVIEW 8.2.1, IMAQdx and a monochrome (UV sensitive) camera.

Is there a simple way to check if the camera is saturated? I hope that I don't have to check every pixel and I am not interested in which pixel that is saturated. All I have to know is if there is any pixel reaching a specified value (1023 in my case as it is a 10 bit camera).

The easiest way is the Histogram analysis. Use IMAQ Histogram.

You cannot say that saturation has occured based on a single pixel reaching 1023. Are you trying to do white balancing ? can you give a bit more details on what your application is?
