I installed a PCI-1426 board and have a mikrotron-1302 camera buty does not work - cannot snap pictures in MAX

I have installed a PCI-1426 frame grabber board on a new machine. I also downloaded the .icd file for the camera I have (a Mikrotron 1302 camera) and put it in the directory with all the other icds.  The camera can be accessed from the Mikrotron camera configuration software, and I am also able to select it from MAX under the devices-PCI1426-img0 tab so that I know that MAX is at least finding the .icd, but then when I try to snap an image I get an error:
"0xBFFF800B The session you requested failed to execute.  Check that the user dll are on the system."
Any ideas anyone.  Thanks.

Dear experiment_juggler

What versions of NI-IMAQ and MAX do you have installed? If you do not have the most recent versions, I would recommend updating.

Do you have administrative rights on your computer? If not, this could be the source of the problem.

If the above two suggestions do not work, try running a simple example program from LabVIEW or whichever programming language you are using. Does your setup work correctly with the example?

Hope this helps,

~Nate

Nate, thanks for the reply.
I do have administrator rights on the computer.
I tried to install the latest versions from the link you sent.  I was unable to install it because I got the message that there were unsupported versions of: NI system components, NI VISA, NI PXI and NI IMAQ.  I guess I will try to unistall everything and install it all from scratch.  Does that make sense?

Dear experiment_juggler

I believe a re-install of your software should fix the problem. If not, please let me know and we can try to troubleshoot further.

Best Regards,

~Nate
