I want to interface a Princeton instrument camera ICCD 576G/2 which is not supported by NI using IMAQ card and cables?

I want to interface a ICCD camera ICCD 576G/2 (Princeton Instruments) that is not supported by NI using IMAQ card and Image library in LabVIEW. Kindly guide me as to how should I proceed? I am using LabVIEW 6i, and IMAQ card and cable.I can provide all the specifications of the camera if any one is ready to help.

I have been looking for information on this camera, but I could not find much. My guess is that this is a digital camera if it is not on our support list. If this is the case, you can submit (Support@ni.com) the attached document to NI and we can try to make a camera file for you. Typically is is important that we have the timing diagrams for the camera. If it is an analog camera, our analog boards support most standards, and if it is not standard, you can operate the camera in External Lock mode by providing the board the Hsync, Vsync and Pclk signals. I hope this helps.

Respected Sir,
After I fill up the Excel Sheet and timing diagram is prepared by NI Engineers what exact procedure is followed to interface the camera with the PC using IMAQ functions that are available in LabVIEW 6i. Please note that I dont have additional library of IMAQ.I need to know the outline procedure of interfacing a camera that is not supported by NI, using IMAQ DAQ cards and cables.

The NI engineers will create a camera file for you (.icd) that is specific for your camera. That file tells the NI-IMAQ software how to interface with your camera and how to interpret the parallel data coming across the data lines.
Once this file is written, you can access the camera using generic NI-IMAQ functions such as snap and grab. This behavior comes in very handy if you ever want to change cameras, as the software will stay the same and only the camera file (.icd) file needs to change.
