IMAQ CREATE, image type setting

Hi,

I am setting the pixel format of my Guppy Pro f031b camera. 

It seems as long as I set the attributes with property nodes: pixelformat as Mono 16, no matter what I set at the "IMAQ Create"---->" image type", I can always get 16bit gray scale output.  

Is this correct?  What can I control when I change the image type at "IMAQ Create"?

If the image is being passed directly to IMAQdx's Get Image VI, the type does not matter since it is coerced by the driver when it fills it with data. Only the border size is relevant.
