The NI-IMAQ for USB driver communicates with the Direct Show Filter of the camera's driver which uses localized strings, so if you are on a foreign OS, you may have this problem. We just added a new way to determine what the localized string is, so we can add support for other OSes to the driver. Please see this thread for more info:
