IMAQ "init" vi fails claims device is already in use

Hello,

Sorry if this has been addressed.  I am trying to use an NI 1428 and some linescan cameras.  I can't even get past the first stage.  I fail at the "init" vi.  LV claims my device (img0) is already in use.  Even after a clean boot.  I have:  NI-1428, Atmel AVIIVA SM2CL2014. LV 7.1 IMAQ 3.1.1.  Win XP P-IV!!!!!!!  Anyone have any ideas why it thinks my device is too busy to be bothered?

Thanks,

Cullen

Hi Cullen,

This usually occures if you already initialized the framegrabber once at the first run, but did not close it after, so know when you run it again you have this behavior.

To shut totally the ressource, close your VIs AND labview, and start again.

Cheers

Doc,

Thanks for your reply.  That wasn't the problem, but was helpful anyway.  My problem was a misconfiguration in MAX, or in my camera config file.  Putting a new camera config file in ...../IMAQ/Data/ fixed it up.

Thanks again.
