I am curious to know which functions you are planning to call from the Cognex software, and whether you have any benchmarking results showing how much faster Cognex is compared with NI Vision.

Additionally, if speed is a concern, would GPU-based acceleration be an option for you?

Sorry for the delay in my response. Life got busy. I did get it to work with some help from a coworker who is much better with .NET than I. Once he decoded the .NET library dependencies we were able to figure out how to call the job and return different data from the Cognex functions. Speed of developing the analysis was good, very intuitive. Speed of running the analysis was great. The slow part was the initialization at beginning and retrieving certain data like images, but once up and running it was almost as good as running it in Cognex but with all the advantages of traditional LabVIEW test and measurement.
