NI-IMAQ for MacOS-X?

We do image acquisition based on NI-PCI-1408 with LV and the Advanced IMAQ
Toolkit on Macs and would like to extend such setups to future Apple machines
under MacOS-X. Since NI for time being suspended its support for image acquisition
on Macs I would like to know if we have a chance to get it back under MacOS-X,
thus UNIX. This could probably go along with a release for Linux too.

Hello Urs,

National Instruments is still providing support for existing drivers/products on the Macintosh that use IMAQ, but we are not currently developing any new products or releases for the Macintosh using IMAQ. Due to the high demand for Windows OS applications involving IMAQ, NI wants to focus development efforts on this operating system for now.

NI needs to drop this excuse. There is enough scientific demand for IMAQ on the Mac. Wake up NI!

URS, We are using Mac and the IMAQ v4. Do you see any alternative solutions for programing image based software on the mac where you can still use Labview?
