OCR reads correctly in Vision Assistant but not Labview

When I read the characters in vision assistant the system rarely has a false read.  However,in LabVIEW with the same exact file it makes 30%-40% bad reads.  I am not sure what I am doing wrong.  I have attached an image for you to look at.

THANKS!!!

Quick question, JJ...

Was the LabVIEW code generated with Vision Assistant?  If so, have you changed the code, or the regions of interest?

The code was not originally generated with Vision Assistant but I have copied most of the parameters over "directly".  I have been extremely carefully tomake sure the parameters are the same but itispossible there isa small difference.  I am pretty confident the code is the same.

One quick troubleshooting step would be to generate a LabVIEW VI from Vision Assistant.

You can do this to your existing Vision Assistant OCR script by going to Tools » Create LabVIEW VI

I will second the recommendation.  I have seen several cases where the default values in Vision Assistant do not match the default values in LabVIEW.  Duplicating all the options that you have access to in VA is not enough.  It is much better to use Create LabVIEW VI to get an exact copy of all the settings used.
