I just received a PCI-1405 fg in order to replicate a legacy imaging system. I am using a Sony XC-ST50 (PAL) monochrome video camera.
The image quality is poor. It has a blurry, pixelated look to it. I seem to recall that the last time I bought the lower-end fg from NI, I had a similar problem and had to upgrade to the more expensive board that worked very well. I find it had to believe that NI would sell a POS, so what am I doing wrong? Is there some kind of configuration that I am missing?
Note: I have the camera set up as a standard PAL camera.
Thanks!

Hi Steverino!
Do you, by chance, actually have the Sony XC-ST50CE? I could only find the models with CE to have (PAL) listed in their title. I could only find documentation that the XC-ST50 signal is EIA Standard. Is the image quality the same in various lightings? Are there situations where the pixelation gets worse or better? Also, what was the model of the board that worked well? Was your previous situation using the same camera?

It is a XC-ST50CE camera. However, I was playing around with some settings. This combination gave me good results:
Luma bandwidth - full
Luma comb - disabled
Chroma trap - disabled
Luma peaking - disabled
Chroma bandwidth - high (probably doesn't matter)
Chroma comb - disabled (probably doesn't matter)
Chroma processing - always off (probably doesn't matter)
