PROBLEM - Imaq vision for measurement studio

The manual supplied with my software refers to two Active X .OCX files: CWIMAQ.ocx, and CWMV.ocx

Ihave only been able to locate the CWIMAQ.ocx file. The CWMV.ocx file is missing - I have searched my entire computer including inside files and there is no string CWMV anywhere

A search through NI found four references including a download from 2002

Should the CWMV.ocx file still be used on my versions of software. if so where should they be!!??

The file you are looking for is in C:\Windows\System32\cwmv.ocx.
You need to make sure that you have installed VB before you installed IMAQ Vision.

The file does not exist in the C:\Windows\System32\cwmv.ocx directory
It does not appear to exist anywhere on my entire computer - including inside CAB files etc.

The NI Software was pre-installed for me by NI - I installed VB afterwards.

What is best way to recover - do I have to uninstall and reinstall the NI software. Is this likely to have created other problems also?

If you go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs then go to National Instruments Software. Click Change. Then if you select IMAQ Vision and click modify. Insert your disc and step through as if you were doing a new installation. You should be able to check for support for Visual Basic. This will install your ocx.

I completely unistalled IMAQ VISION and reinstalled it

The .ocx has magically appeared. This problem is solved
