Problem with Bayer Color using GuppyPro

I'm working on a study where we are using cameras to capture video inside a moving vehicle. We are using the Guppy F033C and the Guppy Pro F125C cameras. With the F033C camera we have had great success using the Bayer Color menu to properly capture the color video. However, we are having difficulty with the Pro f125C. The Auto Calculate Gain sets each color of RGB at the same number so the image is gray. Adjusting the RGB sliders changes the entire color of the video image with one broad color instead accurately representing the image in color. Changing the Bayer Color Pattern has no effect on the color of the image with the F125C, as it does with the F033C. We are using the NI Measurment and Automation explorer, and the NI-IMAQdx IIDC Digital Camera Driver.

Can you send a screenshot showing the Acquisition tab in MAX? One guess could be that you have the camera in a mode where it is doing the color conversion on-board. If so, you might want to change it to just send the raw bayer image and have IMAQdx do the color decoding as before.

The top image is the functional F033C with which we have no problems.
The Bottom is the Pro F125C that is giving us trouble.

I think the camera is doing on-board bayer conversion, then conversion down to grayscale. Thus the original bayer pattern is lost and our bayer decode isn't really able to do anything with the image. Try looking through the available video modes and pixel formats and see if there is one that indicates it is sending the raw bayer image back. You also could probably use an RGB mode or YUV mode and let the camera do the conversion, although then you'd have to play with the camera's color gain settings to adjust the color rather than the ones on the bayer tab.

Thanks for your help, I've forwarded this message to some of our guys here, and I think they have some ideas how to proceed.
