Does anyone have any recommendations for a networked camera to grab still frames? This is such a simple application that I'm not sure it even rates as "machine vision". What we are looking for is:
- A networked camera, with
- Good resolution (would prefer 3MP or better) & interchangeable lenses,
- No need for video, we will be capturing single frames roughly once per minute,
- We'd like to be able to set shutter speed ahead of time, provide camera with a trigger, then save the image as a JPEG. Given the simplicity of the application, a simple interface between LabVIEW and the camera would be desirable.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, - Robert

For the specs you want, I would suggest having a look at the Ace camera line provided by Basler:

Scroll down and have a look at the GigE tab. You can then use the NI Vision Acquisition Software to interface with the camera.

Adnan- thanks, I'll check that out.
And of course, any additional suggestions would be welcome.
