Selecting Area of Interest

Hello,

I'm shooting a laser to a cmos camera. While I know how to reduce the area of interest using Automation& Measurements I need to create a easy-to-use simple selection with the mouse when running the program. I'm hoping for something like Select Rectangle option in the IMAQ, but I can't find any vi that will display the selected area or will allow further processing. Reducing the image size is critical as the amount of data is large.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

You have the exact function is the palatte called "Imaq Select rectangle". This function lets you draw the roi manually.You can use an imaq extract after this function to get the required roi.

I tried the "select rectangle" roi earlier but I didnt know how to extract the new image.

What/where is-- left,top,right,bottom ?

It is "Unbundle by name". Found inside the cluster palatte.
