Trouble Connecting to GigE Camera

Hey,

I'm having trouble connecting to my GigE camera in MAX.

I followed this tutorial: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5846 and went through "The camera can be opened in MAX, but it does not acquire images" Case 2, but I still continued receiving the error attached.

What should I try now to get the camera to acquire images? I've also verified with the software that comes with the camera that I can acquire images.

And also, would I be able to use the camera with the ethernet port on my controller (PXI-8110)?

Thanks,

Kevin

Did you see this thread? It might solve your issue.

BTW: What camera model are you using?

That some how got me a little closer. Now I get a timeout error message (picture attached).

The camera info is:

DeviceVendorName: Allied Vision Technologies

DeviceModelName: GC1600C

Hi Kevin,

Did you try fixing the two things listed in the first error message? Specifically, disable your firewall and try reducing the packet size to 1500 bytes.

That got it working. I could've sworn I tried that before, but I guess not. Turning the firewall off and setting the packet size to 1500 got it working. I think also I may have fixed something about acquisition mode too. I believe the external triggers were enabled, but not exactly sure because I played around with a lot of settings.
