Vision 7.0 to Vision 7.1

I would like to use USB webcam driver but it requires Vision/Vision Assistant 7.1. I have Labview 7.1 and Vision 7.0. Can I somehow upgrade without purchasing Vision Development 7.1? Upgrade is not available in supprt section on the web site...

Thanks

Vladimir,

An upgrade option is available. Go to http://www.ni.com/upgrade/ and select 'Vision Software'. If you fill in your current version as 7.0, it will let you know the cost of upgrading to 7.1 which is significantly less than purchasing the full version again.

If you would like to speak to one of National Instruments technical sales representatives about various upgrade options call: (888) 280-7645

Thanks for your help.

I tried to use attached examples (Parente's drivers) but I always get wrong picture (attached). Does anybody know how to fix this?

There should be only one cross over the whole picture.

Thanks you

Vladimir,

I'm not sure what might be wrong with the driver you are running - but can you attach a picture of what your image should look like so I could better understand what might be going on. I don't quite understand what you are referring to when you say that 'There should be only one cross over the whole picture'.

Vladimir,

I tested the webcam driver that Ancle posted and found that it worked quite well with a Creative Labs WebCam Instant. The underlyings of the driver are not exposed so I have no idea how it was developed and how it is accessing the image data stream from the USB cam and therefore do not know why it works great with my camera and not yours. The programmer is really the only one who could help you with this driver/app.

USB webcams normally do not adhere to a certain communications method and therefore have their own custom drivers. The only webcams that NI-IMAQ USB driver supports are those cameras which are "DirectShow" compatible.

I would try testing this app with another webcam - perhaps your is not compatible.
