Web CAM Camera for LabVIEW 8.2

I would like to control the USB Web CAM camera by use LabVIEW 8.2, it is setted at 30 fm, RGB 24, 640 x 480. please suggest me about the code to control it.

There is a set of IMAQ VIs for USB here: http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=ED6942DF78E34659E034080020E74861 

Once you install them, you should be able to create a VI that will control the camera.

Hey rawat99,

The link that Bob posted will take you to a page where you can download the NI-IMAQ for USB cameras driver . With this driver comes example programs and the VI's that you can use to acquire from a DirectShow compatible camera.

I also wanted to mention, something that all users of the NI-IMAQ for USB driver should know, is that if your USB camera is not supported by the driver, that you can create your own "driver" by just making DLL calls into your camera's dll. You can do this by using the Call Library function node in LabVIEW. Then you can access all of the functions that your camera manufacturer has shipped with its DLL.

i also like to know what kind of application I can do with the webcam.

i dont really know what pattern matching is.

i am planning on  doing labview and web cam as a senior project, but i dont know what kind of application it can do so that i can put it on my proposal.
