1) Your camera is a tri-linear CCD. The .icd files you are experimenting with are for use with area cameras, Pulnix 9701 and Cohu 750.
2) I suggest starting with the attached files. These were designed to work with the Kodak KLI-8013 Tri-Linear CCD.
3) These files will probably need to be modified to fit your particular camera.
4) The resulting image should be much as you described, "a rotating conveyor belt." Linescan cameras function much like a faxmachine, scanner or photocopier. Linescan cameras create images row by row. The height parameter in MAX sets the height of the image to be transferred across the PCI bus from the frame grabber. The image is acquired line by line until of the height set in MAX is acquired. The height par
ameter can be adjusted by highlighting the camera in MAX, left clicking, then opening the properties window. You will see the parameter in the lower right hand corner of the properties window. The rate the rows are acquired at depends on the line rate of the camera. Depending on the camera's line rate, waiving a light towards and away from the sensor will result in an image of bright and dark ripples.
