Why is my image is shifting (or wrapping around) on my CVS-1454?

I'll try to attach some actual images once I can aquire them, but here is an example I made to help explain the problem.  The soft sensors (represented in the sample by the green shapes) stay in the correct position, but the image is wrapping around (the blue and orange braces are in the same position with respect to the image).  Once the problem is noticed, we cycle power to the vision system and upon rebooting everything seems to be fine.  I'm using two Basler firewire cameras, but only one of them seems to be having this issue.  I'm not sure if the problem is with the camera or CVS.  Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Based on your image, I will say that you are losing FireWire packets. In my experience it could be any of the following:
  1. The camera is not sending the correct packet
  2. The packet is lost while being transmitted to the CVS
  3. The packet is lost in the receive FIFO on the CVS
  4. The data is lost while transferring across the PCI bus
What hardware are you using? Be as specific as possible. Note CVS model, camera's make and model, cable length, hubs, etc.

What are you doing in your application? Are you triggering? acquiring? processing? displaying? transferring data back across the network? etc.

What is each FireWire camera packet size? Two cameras on a single bus should each typically use 2048 bytes or less.

What is the frame interval of each camera?

If you perform a high level grab and display on both cameras, do you still see the image wrapping around? Is there any step in your application that is seemingly causing the problem?

JohannS
