camera for crack detection

Hi

dear members i am working on egg crack detection . i have done finding the crack by using many  ni forum member's suggestion its was helpfull. now i again need your suggestion for selecting the camera.

camera should be 

autofocus , high resolution so that it can capture hair level crack, will be visible on picture , and also can connect with myrio (like usb 2.0  cameras ) , (any other specification if you think it should be in camera for small crack detection) .

your suggestion will be appreciated and i will be thankful to you

You should try Dark Field illumination for Cracks.

Most importent factor for detecting cracks are usually illumination.

Dark field illumination is usually very effective for crackes.

You should experiment with that. 

Camera resolution is usually less of a factor. Look on the links and see how effective is Dark field illumanation on cracks

the most important think is that if your myrio support camera or not also you have to explain what kind of crack and in what size an depth you face with it in your projects

myrio is supporting any usb camera 

crack will of hair level small thinkness and depth will be like diameter of hair .

so I you know you can just select camera with USB
as it is reveal if you have more resolution you will be have better result and also your camera lens magnification will be effective in result but you have to regard DOV beas on your target
but I want to indicate to other thing that could be effective
the lighting system
you can use line laser scanning and based on diffraction light of crack that create specle noise in laser light find crack with more accuracy
als you in some project we can use photosense liquid when you use UV light to make crack reveal to find
