cell boundary detection

Solved!
Go to solution

many years ago, around 2002,  i downloaded an example file called "culture.zip", which contained culture.vi.

Culture.vi allowed the boundary of a cell(s) to be acquired from a still image.

I still have the orignal culture zip file which came from NI,  but it dosent appear to run under labivew 8.5

When i open this file, there are a few broken lines which prevent its execution.

I would like to find an updated version of this file.

I have searched and found the same images that were in culture.vi posted online.

http://volt.ni.com/niwc/imaq/appcount.jsp

Anyone know where a working copy of the example file are?

Or even better, a more updated version of a routine to find cell boundaries?

thanks

This is a shipping example, according to Chilly Charly. (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&requireLogin=False&thread.id=6060)

In Vision Assistant, use Help > Solution Wizard > Culture Analysis.

Hi Bruce.

Thats not really the same file.

It does a similar function though.

Its a vision script or .scr file.

There is a VI in the directory but i it cant be opened.

If I posted the orignal file, can someone take a look?

Since you can run IMAQ vision VIs, you also have access to Vision Assistant. So you can open .scr files... and of course you can build automatically the corresponding VI ! Give it a try.
