counting of balls falling from a bucket

hi

i have been assigned a project on counting of balls falling from a bucket by image processing.

this is to be done using labview and a ni smart camera present in lab . Pls!! suggest me how to acquire the image and write the codes in labview.

The easiest way would be to use a backlight and then do a blob-anaylsis.

Before you ask, do a search for backlight and blob at google.
