defining ROI on FFT image and Qunatify

I need to evaluate an FFT image (created by IMAQ FFT).
I overlaid 18 square ROIs on it in order to evalute the average pixel intensity (by IMAQ qualify) on each. Problems:
  1. If I try to mask out the 18 square from this complex image (by IMAQ ROIToMask or IVa Mask from ROI) after each other. I got error messege: IMAQ ROIToMask Invalid image type. The mean value in the output custer of IMAQ Qualify is 0.
  2. If I try to covert the image (by IMAQ Cast Image) the apperance of the image is changed.
After all I'd like to use the image output of the IMAQ FFT as it would be a normal 8 bit image.

Any idea is welcomed. Thanks in advance!

Good Morning,

it would be a little bit easier with the code in front of me. So please, post a little example!

regards,

Hello Thomas,
Meanwhile I changed the method: FFT picture is evaluated by converting it to a 2 dimensional array of magnitudes. It works.

Thanks,

Hello,

I intended to open a new thread, but I don't know how to do it....

So, a new topic:

I should take pictures inside a CD module to investigate the outcoming laserlight. Endoscope is not a good solution, I'd like to insert a very slim (around 1mm ) CCD sensor which is sensitive in IR region, too. The thickness is not a typical parameter therefore I cannot find by the camera advisor....

How can I found a suitable chip (and electronics)?

Thanks,
Zoltan
