error: unlicensed copy of Ni vision

When i try to do a simple image acquisition with an ieee 1394 firewire camera and then have the learn pattern matching 2.vi run after it along with a write image vi i get an error stating unlicensed copy of NI vision, it states that it occured at the learn pattern matching 2.vi.

I am running this all in labview 8.5.1 also i have vision 8.5 all which are full licensed and activated as i have verified under ni license manager.
initially teh vision run time engine and vision were not activated since we did not have any interntet access to the computer with these licenses installed but once we got the computer connected to the internet we activated it immediately.

Has anyone had this same problem?

I got the same error but due an entirely different reason.I was having the Vision installer in the network.I tried installing it from the network and due to network problems i was not able to install it so i copied the vision vis and tried calling it (replacing the question marks).I got this error.

Try reinstalling the vision module once again. The problem should go.

Also this might work.Right click --->replace and chose the pattern match vi now.

Hello EE_ga,

Often the cause of the “unlicensed copy of NI Vision” error is specific to target machines in deployed Vision executables. The installer may not have run properly on the target machine, generating the error. Check out this KnowledgeBase article on the “unlicensed copy” error in NI-Vision. I hope this helps 🙂
