Did you mean:

extract the overlay portion of an image

First of all thanks for your answers!!

Secondly, I want to explain what I'm working on in order to answer why to rotate the image after extracting doesn't help! I'm programming a pattern pointing, this pattern is moving all time in real-time, it can rotate up-down right- left and I focus the overlay rectangle on the pattern everytime (while loop) to extract that region because the pattern is changing constantly. It would be much easier for me to extract a rotated rectangle, I have thought of doing what you have told me, but I think is not working because of the design of the program, anyway I will try to make it your way.

If you know about the "magical" function I´m looking for, please tell me! Sorry if my explanation is not clear enough!

Thanks again!!

If you have Vision Development Module 2009, you can use IMAQ Extract Tetragon. This VI can extract any 4 sided polygon from an image, including a rotated rectangle.
