Hello ddsdds,
Is your camera GigE compliant? NI-VISION software requires that cameras meet this standard.
Someone else posted a similar question on this forum. Apparently you may be able to use ActiveX commands to use the camera. Again, I would focus on the compliance of this camera with the NI-VISION GigE protocol.
Does your camera show up in the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) under NI-IMAQdx devices? The first step is to configure hardware in MAX before moving into LabVIEW.
I hope this helps 🙂

If your camera is not GigE compliant, it will not show up in MAX. There is no way to get an ethernet camera to show up in MAX unless it is GigE.

ddsdds,
If the camera is not GigE compliant, then you cannot use it with the NI-IMAQ or NI-VISION acquision software. Please follow the link in my above post for information on using ActiveX commands to call to the camera anyways.
I recommend purchasing a camera suited for industrial applications. You can find a list of NI-IMAQ supported cameras here.
