Hey Ajay,
If you follow the link under the words “compatible file” in my previous post, you will see that the camera file available for download there is exactly the same as the camera file on our FTP site... 🙂

Also, from the manual for your Sony XC-HR50 camera, I determined that the camera is NTSC compliant, so you may not even need a camera file to work with the NI-1405 image grabber per se. Just specify a generic NTSC camera with an image size of 640x480 (RS-170/NTSC compliant). For more information on the NTSC compliance with regards to the NI-1405, check out this KnowledgeBase article.

Dear David
I got these file but even this is not working. Going throgh camera advisor I found that NI mentions only PCI-1409 and PCI -1410 as compatible hardware. Does it mean that I can not use Sony XC-HR50 with PCI-1405. Give me any trick how to use this camera with 1405 card. I have already bought these two. I tried using NTSC option but enable to get proper image. It is getting signal but not working properly.

Hello Ajay,
Your hardware setup seems OK. Again, this depends on the compliance of your camera with the RS-170/NTSC compliance.
When you say that your setup is “not working properly”, do you mean that you are able to see an image, but it does not appear as you would expect? Or do you see nothing on your computer monitor? If the image does not appear as you would expect,
The more specific you can be with regard to what/how the setup is behaving, and the steps you take to get it that way, the easier it will be for us to help you out. 🙂

Hello David,
It is not that nothing is comming on monitor. Image like intensity distribution comes on grabing window but nothing clear. I wanted to know that XC-HR50 will work with 1405 card or only with 1409 and 1410. Is any technical mismatch this is why I needyour feedback as I have left working to rectify the problem thinking that there may be compatibility proble.
