I have a vi written using LabView 2009. I have now upgraded to 2012; the upgrade includes the NI Vision. When I try to launch the 2009 vi, I get errors such as
SubVI 'IMAQdx Unconfigure Acquisition.vi': SubVI is missing
SubVI 'Update Attribute Tree.vi': SubVI is missing
SubVI 'IMAQdx Configure Acquisition.vi': SubVI is missing
SubVI 'IMAQdx Close Camera.vi': SubVI is missing
SubVI 'IMAQdx Open Camera.vi': SubVI is missing
etc.
There are 40 such errors and warnings. Is there a way to get this vi to work on LabView 2012, without starting from scratch?
Thanks,
Neil

Install IMAQdx ... that fixes the problems. don't forget to restart your system after installation.

I tried several times to install NI Vision Development Module 2012 (that's where IMAQdx is, right?) and keep getting this message:
Cannot install
NI Measurement & Automation Explorer 5.3 (higher version already installed)
Should I uninstall NI-DAQmx?
Thanks,
Neil

No, you shouldn't have to uninstall DAQmx or MAX or anything, IMAQdx is part of Vision Acquisition Software (VAS) which I believe is not part of Vision Dev Module (VDM).
You can get VAS 2012 installer from NI website here : http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2975/lang/en
Then you get to that screen where you can select which drivers to install :
hope this helps

Thank you. I was able to install VAS 2012. But how do I activate? I tried using the serial # and the activation code that I received when I installed LabView (Academic Expiring Student Install). Neither worked.

Hmm... maybe your serial isn't valid for 2012, I think you should contact your local NI sales with your serials and ask them, they will be able to tall you which versions of what you can activate with your serial.
Hope this helps
