Hi Mario, I looked at your program and it looks exactly like an example in one of our tutorials.
Take a look at this document and check your MAX configurations.
Try setting a larger value for the timeout in MAX.
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5750
Let me know if you are still getting the timeout.
Best regards, David

Hello David,
thanks a lot for the reply!
I have a timeout value of 5000ms that should be enough but I still have the problem!
ciao and thanks again

Hi Mario,
first of all please excuse my late response. I was on a customer education tour and then i was in hospital..
How are things going with your Prosilica cam? Can you now acquire images correctly?
If not, let me know what version of IMAQdx you are using and if you have any firewall or virus scanner activated
try turning them off.
Best regards,
David

Dear David,
thanks a lot for the reply!!
is it now going better?
I hope yes ;)!
regarding the camera stuff I'm able to connect to it and acquire images, but it is still a little bit not robust in the way that sometime gets crashes!
anyway it is fair enough by now and I will try to improve this.
I 'm trying now to get a multicast mode images with LV.
If I use the prosilica software the multicast is ok, but I still don't know how to acquire images in multicast mode using LV.
thanks a lot and welcome back!
ciao

I have now another problem:
how can I set the exposure time?
I'm doing as the screenshot in attachment but doesn't work.
thanks!!

Hi Mario,
check this other discussion forum thread, where someone with a Prosilica tried to adjust the exposure time. http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&message.id=12754&requireLogin=False
I guess the attribute name just is not correct.
Best regards,
David

Hi David,
yes was a naming problem!
I found a naming convention from the prosilica camera software but didn't work.
If I follow the LV naming convention for the GigE cameras in the vision acquisition wizard it works!
thanks a lot!
ciao
Mario
