recieve error message 1074397056 - IMAQ Create Bayer LUT.vi

I am receiving an error when I try to run the White Balance uitility for the Hitachi camera attached to my microscope.  The error states "1074397056 - IMAQ Create Bayer LUT.vi".  I thought that this might have something to do with the license activation, so I went through that process and obtained an Activation code.  However, the software would not accept the activation code.  I am a novice with this equipment and any help would be greatly appreciated.

The description of the error lead me to look at what files I could open with the White Balance software.  It appears that I can only open files that are 8 bit.  I can not open any of the RGB (32 bit) files.  Only the single color files will open.

Another engineer tells me that this utility has never worked.  He has a work around that will get us by

This is expected behavior. You are correct, you need to take only one color plane at a time and do your white balancing on each plane.Bruce does a great job explaining this here.
