Hi,
I want to do a triggered acquisition from our new e2v octoplus (camera link model). I have it connected to a PCIe1433 board. It needs to be synchronized to a TTL trigger (from a DAC controlling galvo mirrors). That triggering model works for another camera.
With the octoplus I can set the camera to external triggered acquisition mode (using the serial commands), but it doesn't acquire any lines in this mode. When I try this with the CameraFileGenerator I get a message with a timeout. When I try it with NI MAX, I get an error message stating no serial termination character is received.
Do I need to make changes to the .icd file? What changes? (edit: I tried attaching the icd file but it is rejected)
In the end I want to do the acquisition using LabVIEW (the galvo control also runs in LabVIEW).
Best regards,
Aart

Are you connecting the trigger to the 1433 or to the camera?
With camera link it should be connected to the 1433.

yes the trigger is provided to the little coaxial connector at the PCIe1433.

I need to do the exactly same thing. Did you solve the problem? It seems that I need to request .icd file from OctoPlus company.

Hi, were you able to solve the issue? I'm also facing the same now.

no, I haven't managed to get it working the way I described in the original post. What I do as a workaround is use the camera line clock (signal generated by the camera or camera link PCIe card) as the analog out sample clock for the DAQ card controlling the galvo mirrors. It works more or less. There is a little issue remaining with some data getting lost, but overall it works.
