Although this tread is 18 months old, I remember some of the details.
As I recall:
NI did have a list of compliant converter boxes though none were for composite video.
Initially, I tried the Canopus ADVC-55 which worked great but was not recognized by LV software.
Ni did mention "DCAM" Compliant which the Imaging Source did meet these requirements.
I also tried "The Imaging Source" (model unknown by now) which looked promising but ultimately also failed.
There may be newer models since the original post.
I still would be interested if anyone finds a solution.
